Gobble Gobble?

It sort of gets my goat when I hear people refer to this holiday as "Turkey Day."

Hello!  Where on the calendar does it say Turkey Day?

It's Thanksgiving Day.  Or rather, it is the official American celebration of Thanksgiving Day.

Because, after all, every day should be a day for giving thanks.

I've discovered a bit more about my paternal great-great grandfather.   The information here matches the information I've found on ancestry.com.
Now I am trying to find his birth and/or baptismal certificate.
