Three Great Homilies From EWTN

Tuesday

There are times when I wish that the homilies we hear on EWTN  could be compiled into a book, (or several books).  I would certainly buy it (or them)!

Salon Article Says Unborn Baby is "A Life Worth Sacrificing" | LifeNews.com

Salon Article Says Unborn Baby is "A Life Worth Sacrificing" | LifeNews.com

Here is a quote from the article:
Of all the diabolically clever moves the anti-choice lobby has ever pulled, surely one of the greatest has been its consistent co-opting of the word “life.”
Excuse me?  Giving the word "life" its proper definition is
co-opting?  What about the way the pro-abortionists have
co-opted, no, make that DISTORTED the word "choice"?

JoyJotsJournal

I was reformatting my "Jots of Joy" page, and it got all messed up. C'est la vie!
Anyway, I decided to start over, (and thank God that we CAN start over!) and make
a separate journal.  Not a blog this time; a journal.

This is a very moving article.  I applaud this mother's great courage in sharing her story, and her regret.

Homily 2013-01-17 - Fr Anthony Mary MFVA - St Anthony

Another great homily from Fr. Anthony.

U.S. Bishops Call For ‘Nine Days Of Prayer, Penance And Pilgrimage’ Surrounding 40th Anniversary Of Roe V. Wade

Click  here for the article.

Fr. Anthony spoke about this at the beginning of his homily this morning.  (That homily will
be posted as soon as it is available on YouTube).

There is also a novena which we are asked to pray.

As for sacrifices, mine will be a simple one; I'm not saying that it will be easy, nor would I want
it to be easy.
I'm going to do without coffee for the nine days beginning on the 19th.  Please pray that I persevere!

An Icon and a Stained Glass Image

Appropriately  for today, I've added an icon and a Tiffany stained glass image of the Baptism of Our Lord to my Rosary Art Collection.

Great homily from Fr. Anthony.   I especially liked the
part about the Protestant minister!

Encouraging news about EWTN's Fr. Anthony

Fr. Anthony hopes to be back on the air in the near future.  Oh, HOW I'm praying for that to happen! https://franciscanmissionaries.c...
