Okay, just a couple of thoughts, now that I've stopped cheering!
1: I wasn't a Catholic yet, and had no idea that I ever would be,
when Pope John XX111 died, but I vividly remember my grandpa
saying, "He was a good man, and not an anta-semit" (Grandpa
used the Yiddish words for anti-Semite.)
2: I felt for years after I joined the Church that there was too big a gap
between the Joyful and Sorrowful Mysteries of the Rosary, and so I
was VERY happy when John Paul II added the Luminous Mysteries.

Thanks for sharing that story about your grandfather. I never knew any Pope but JP2, but I loved him. So glad he's been fast-tracked!
