I felt that that was rather a rude question, but I responded as politely as I could:
"You outgrow your clothes. You... hopefully... outgrow bad habits. You don't outgrow good books.
I am a Jewish convert to Catholicism, blogging on a variety of subjects. The motto for this blog is: "Rejoice always, pray constantly, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you." 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, Revised Standard Version, Catholic Edition.
Fr. Anthony hopes to be back on the air in the near future. Oh, HOW I'm praying for that to happen! https://franciscanmissionaries.c...

I must admit I still read this one:

I have paperbacks of all of L. Frank Baum's "Wizard of Oz" series, and the "Old Mother Westwind" books about animals that talk. They are very special. And all the Laura Ingalls Wilder books. From time to time I take them up to flee the present world.
Barb,
I'll never forget the impact of this sentence in By The Shores Of Silver Lake:
"Far worst of all, the fever had settled in Mary's eyes, and Mary was blind."
I cried for a long time.
I'm going to post something about the books, and the TV show.

I love Winnie-the-Pooh and The House at Pooh Corner.
Annis Duff wrote, in her delightful Bequest of Wings: A Family's Pleasures With Books,
"Winnie-the-Pooh and The House at
Pooh Corner are infectious books. I still resent the reviewer
who dismissed them with "Tonstant Weader fwowed up.""
