Trampoline? NOPE!!

No, it was not a trampoline.  It was a little boy's bed.  But that little boy, Bobby Brown, who would one day be my father, was using that bed as a trampoline.
Bounce.  Bounce. Higher bounce.  Higher bounce.
CRASH!!!!
The bed now had only three legs.
Bobby used a typical little-boy solution.  He propped up the bed with some books, and then made a quick exit, announcing that he was going out to play.
Some time later, his mother went into his room, probably to put away his laundry.   Of course, she saw the damage at once.
"Ro-BERT!!!!" she bellowed.
A few minutes later, it was Bobby, [or Ro-BERT!!!] who was yelling!

Jeopardy Just Lost a Viewer!!!

As of tonight, I am no longer going to watch Jeopardy, and here is why:
In a category called "Great Men and Women of Medicine,"  the
response to one of the answers was "Who was Margaret Sanger?"
[I blew a raspberry and booed, and I HOPE that I
would have done the same had I been in the studio!
No; I  hope I would have walked out, and made it clear WHY
I was walking out!]

If they can call her "great",  then I can no longer, in good conscience, watch that show.

What's In A Name?

What's in a name?  Or rather, what's in how a name is spoken?  Sometimes, quite a lot.
My father's given name was Robert, but when he behaved himself, his mother called him
Bobby.
When, however, he was in trouble, she called him
Ro-BERT!!!!!!
Later this week, I will share at least one story about his being called
Ro-BERT!!!!!!

Found While Googling Beverly Cleary

I was googling  Beverly Cleary when I came across this post.  Incidentally, I remember those books!  I got them at a book fair when I was in elementary school, and now, all these years later, I
would love to read them again.

Two New Pictures

I've added these two pictures to my Rosary Art Collection.
Click here  and here.
I couldn't let this day, the feast of Our Lady of the Rosary, go by without adding to my collection.

Encouraging news about EWTN's Fr. Anthony

Fr. Anthony hopes to be back on the air in the near future.  Oh, HOW I'm praying for that to happen! https://franciscanmissionaries.c...
