At It Again!

Every little (or not so little!) while, I get ambitious and decide to do some studying.  Not that

it is NECESSARY, but simply to keep my mind just that much more occupied.  Well, as the

title of this post says, I'm at it again!

So what am I studying at this time?

Social Studies/History

English Grammar

I know that this seems like a long list, but I'm being

careful not to overdo it.  I'm spreading my studies

out over the course of each day, and allowing

myself long breaks between subjects.

I know exactly, and I mean exactly how the real-life Jesse Stuart and the fictional Herbie Bookbinder felt. I, too, loved grammar when I was in school. In fact, I've started buying, online, used copies of the books I studied in my junior high school and high school English classes. (I did a Google search, using phrases from paragraphs I remember from those books. I loved those paragraphs!)
Besides, I am reasonably certain that I knew more about grammar back then than I do now.

New (Okay, not-so-new) Goals

old blogs.

I've decided to teach myself algebra and geometry. I flunked algebra three times, and I never took geometry. Math has always been hard for me because I have dyscalculia. So why do I want to teach myself these subjects? For the challenge, and to stretch my mind.
Why do I want to teach myself, rather than taking an online (it would have to be online,
because traveling is so difficult for me) course?
1: I need to be able to work at my own pace.
2: I am not doing this to get a grade or a degree.
I should say that this isn't my first, or even second, attempt to teach myself these subjects.
I tend to go gangbusters with my studies at first, and then gradually lose interest. That could be because, in the past, I spent too much time at it each day. This time, I'm setting a limit to how long I will study at one sitting by using an online TIMER.
