A VERY Belated Post

I really meant to blog about this on Easter Monday, but the death of my Mom on Easter Sunday (which I didn't write
about until more than a month later), put it completely out
of my mind.
One of the things I gave up this past Lent was sugar in my tea. (I haven't put sugar in my coffee for years.)  Well, on Easter Sunday, I fixed a cup of tea with sugar, anticipating the sweet
taste.  Well, guess what!  I could not drink it!  I'd become too
used to the taste of tea without sugar.
Since then, I haven't been able to drink tea with sugar unless it also has lemon or lemon juice in it.
And oh, how I love the smell of tea with lemon!

New Collection [Old post, renamed and edited] (Preset )

I've started another offline collection in addition to my Decorative Magnets Collection. This collection, however, is a bit more unusual, a bit less conventional. [Did I say a bit?]
I've started collecting what might be called "Break-offs." These are items which have become detached from other, larger objects. So far, I have 3 "Break-offs" in my collection:
Item:
Fish-shaped zipper pull with the
word BLOWFISH.
Parent Object:
Bible cover.
Item:
Dial with channel numbers.
Parent Object:
Old tv set.
Item
Whimsical wooden duck.
Parent Object:
Kitchen memo holder.

Naturally, items with sharp edges will not go into my collection!

Note:  That was three years ago today, so happy anniversary to my Break-off Collection!

More About My Break-Off Collection

Quite some time ago, a knob came my dresser (which was Mom's
dresser before we moved.)  I set it aside until I decided whether
or not to add to to my collection.

Today, I finally made the decision.  It is now in the drawer which houses the collection... and which happens to be one of the drawers in that dresser!
Eventually, however, my collection will no longer be kept in a drawer.

I plan to start saving the plastic trays from the Chinese take-out place,
washing and rinsing and drying them very carefully, and transferring the collection to those trays (which will then be designated as display
cases!)
I'm also going to separate the items in my collection, as follows:
1
Heavy objects of various sizes
(Example: the drawer-knob added today.)
2
Larger light objects
(Example: The eye-glass frame handle added in December of 2012)
3
Smaller light objects
(Example: The Blowfish zipper pull, the item that started it all!)

Encouraging news about EWTN's Fr. Anthony

Fr. Anthony hopes to be back on the air in the near future.  Oh, HOW I'm praying for that to happen! https://franciscanmissionaries.c...
