"Girls and Literacy In America:
Historical Perspectives to the Present Moment"
Jane Greer, editor
book has some glaring inaccuracies:
Ellen's mother, in the Wide, Wide World,
is depicted as steering Ellen away from a
"tempting confusing" of children's books
in favor of a Bible.  Ellen KNEW that they
were going to purchase a Bible.

Elsie Dinsmore is referred to as a conduct
novel; it is a RELIGIOUS novel.

Faith Gartney is referred to as the AUTHOR
of a book called  Girlhood.  The actual title
is Faith Gartney's Girlhood, and the author
is A. D. T. Whitney.

The magazine Calling All Girls is described as
not having been destined for long-term success.
Excuse me???? It was published for YEARS, and
was EXTREMELY successful.  I had a subscription
when I was a teenager.

Encouraging news about EWTN's Fr. Anthony

Fr. Anthony hopes to be back on the air in the near future.  Oh, HOW I'm praying for that to happen! https://franciscanmissionaries.c...
